What can I do with Handspun yarn? Is it practical?
Handspun yarn can be used on its own or combined with commercially spun yarn to create interesting textures. For example, handspun yarn can bring out the individual qualities of a particular type of fleece especially when breed-specific yarns are spun. You can use the wool for thick, warm, light weight fabric for beanies, sweaters, or scarves. Don't let your creative spirit be crushed. Let handspun yarn bring you out of the box!
Where do you source your Paragliding Material from?
You may be surprised to hear that the first several batches of recycled paragliding gear were made from Paramotor wing bags that were being sent to the dumpster. At the time I had NO idea what I was going to use them for but here we are!
Now, I receive calls asking about recycling gliders and it really is exciting to get new wings in to turn into a new piece of usable art.
